This is the first day and first assignment in English 210 which allowed for me to share some private stuff and was kind of of an ice breaker for this amazing class.

Science is an extremely huge tree from which you can get several branches. Some of these

branches that I’m the most interested in are neuroscience and environmental science. Neuroscience because it’s a very small part and “object” to be able to be so smart and powerful. On the other hand I love the environment and how powerful a planet could be and how many sources it can actually provide.

Neuroscience is another tree from which we can discuss several branches from it. One of my favorite branches from neuroscience would have to be the brain. The brain looks like such a weak and small part of a human body but can actually run the whole body and is more powerful than humans can imagine. It’s shape is weird, how it looks in person is weird and really doesn’t look like it had so many powers and it’s just amazing that is something that humans haven’t been able to create with their own hands because there is just so much going on that can actually have such power and options to do. It’s crazy how one side of the brain reflects the opposite side of the body. It’s very curious how it works and how many illnesses can come so randomly and the brain reacts in certain ways. Like when someone is diagnosed with epilepsy a brain is so smart that it causes the brain itself to have an electro shock and is able to bring the whole body to a complete paused and confusion because really in those moments a body is just frozen and something just goes blank in the brain and it is not able to react. It is also very interesting how if a part of the brain is damaged it can cause such impacts in how people either walk, talk, smile, blink, interact, etc. Not only is it able to cause reactions but also have their own storage for the biggest memories.

Up from a deep nap, straight into an unknown moment for my mom and I. It started with a weird shaking, constant blinking, salivating, moving in a constant period of time just one side of the body and us in the other hand thinking she was shocking on a type of braces that they put on her. It was a seizure, in other words it’s like the brain is having a recharge of energy and it’s so much energy that the brain can’t handle any more and so an electric cut happens like in the streets. Just like that a seizure starts occurring and the body just freezes leaving her not remembering anything or conscious of what she just went through. Just like that the brain and it’s incredible power stops and goes so blank that the brain is unable to respond and so leaves the body without knowing what to do. Nothing is perfect and neither is the brain, it also has its days in which it malfunctions. But after the dark comes the sun and comes the powers of the brain. This small part of the body is able to control the whole individual’s actions, reactions, movements, feelings and something very special and beautiful is the stop and store it comes with. Storage that could come back with a smell, object and much more.
